The Dairy hosts an opening Reception for a new Mixed Media Figurative exhibition on Friday 15th October from 5:30pm until 7:30pm (200 Kings Road, Pontcanna). Three Wales based artists will showcase their drawing, painting and sculpture focusing on the human form. Susan Roberts, Elizabeth Ann Morgans and Carl Chapple all highlight the talent that resides in Wales' artistic community. The exhibition will run until the 28th October 2010.

Cardiff Design Festival Event at The Dairy The Dairy is working in collaboration with the Cardiff Design Festival and launched a design competition called Budding & Bespoke which celebrates all sectors of Welsh Design. The shortlist of chosen entrants are to be exhibited at The Dairy from 30th September – 7th October and we are holding an official Cardiff Design Festival drinks party to announce the competition winner at a featured Cardiff Design Festival event this Friday. From 6:30pm-8:30pm Friday 1st October at 200 Kings Road, in Pontcanna, we are hosting an event featuring live music and announcing the winners of the competition to which you are invited along with guests. The shortlist of successful entrants include: Donna McCormick We are also hosting a contemporary painting exhibition during this time featuring works from renowned Welsh painters Martyn Jones and Elizabeth Picton. Design Competition Launched at The Dairy The Dairy is working in collaboration with the Cardiff Design Festival and launching a design competition called Budding & Bespoke, a celebration of Welsh Design, which will culminate in an awards event on 1st October at The Dairy. This is a great opportunity for up and coming designers to raise their profile and gain prominence within the industry. New Exhibition at The Dairy: “Passing” 03 September 2010 - 16 September 2010 From the 3rd – 16th September we are hosting a new exhibition of vintage slide photographs presented by photographers Brendan Corrigan and Paul Gaffney. “Passing” is the aptly titled exhibition which invites the viewers to take an intimate, almost voyeuristic, peek into the past, along a journey into the faded memories of family albums. The story behind the discovery of the slides was on a rainy Saturday morning scavenging for old cameras at a car boot sale which revealed a treasure trove of discarded and forgotten images from the 1960's and 70's scattered in a plastic bag. Fascinated by the potential stories that lay before them, the pair began to edit and sequence their own interpretations of their alternative histories. The identities behind the photographers themselves remain unknown though some clues lie hidden within the beautifully nostalgic images themselves and the often humorous and poignant captions scrawled on various slides. The photographs are exhibited at The Dairy in their truest form with the slides themselves presented on light boxes and large projections. |

Angela Ferreira - Exhibition of Surreal Works at The Dairy Angela Ferreira Angela Ferreira is a Cardiff based artist. The experiences of this well travelled artist have had a dramatic influence in her work. Angela’s portfolio has been exhibited in the UK and Portugal, as well as being featured as various book covers. Angela’s work was published twice in the National Geographic and several educational books over in the USA.
